The Neville Scholarship is awarded each spring to deserving Routt/Moffat County SSWSC graduating seniors to help cover college expenses. The funds are made available through a donation from Steamboat locals, the Neville Family. Application date: March 11-April 14 Selection Criteria:
  • Applicant must be in senior year at a local Routt/Moffat County high school.
  • Applicant must have a high school cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  • Applicant demonstrated strong character traits while with the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club.
  • Applicant has been a Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club member for at least two years.
  • Athlete must currently be in a full-time competitive WINTER program.
  • Available to all athletes who meet the above criteria regardless of whether or not they are skiing in college.

Bill Michalek Scholarship is awarded to two athletes in any SSWSC program between the age 13 to 17 years old. Athletes must be a Routt County/Moffat resident and must be in middle school or high school in Routt County/Moffat (graduating seniors are not eligible for this scholarship). Financial need, athletic achievement and community involvement will be considered. 
The recipients each will receive a scholarship in the amount of $2,500.

NEW! EZ Competitive Program Scholarship
SSWSC is now offering a NEW scholarship opportunity for families with athletes in high school-age, year-round competitive programs. The EZ Competitive Program Scholarship is a two-step scholarship fee program for athletes in year-round programs; it requires submitting a current 1040 or 1040EZ tax return. The EZ Competitive Scholarship is applied directly to program fees based on the family’s adjusted gross income after tax return verification.

If you also have non year round athletes that plan on participating in winter programs, you can include them in this application. 

We have added EZ Scholarship to summer programming with the goal of eliminating the need for an additional summer scholarship application. We will open the Winter Program Fee Scholarship in August with Winter Registration 

This scholarship is intended to assist SSWSC families with their SSWSC program fees based on financial need. All athletes, resident or non-resident are eligible. Financial need and ongoing family involvement with the SSWSC will be considered. This scholarship is available in addition to the EZ scholarship.
Scholarship will be awarded by the end May. Your SSWSC account must be in good standing for your application to be considered.
