This scholarship is generously funded annually by The “Dee” Williams Fund. This scholarship is meant for 13-18 year old athletes who are participating a year-round or winter SSWSC Freestyle Program. This is award is based on financial need and is meant to support athletes with the additional costs that come with high level training and competition (travel, equipment, pass, etc.). The scholarship will be added to athlete accounts as a credit.
The Diana Williams Scholarship was created to honor the legacy of Diana Williams — an accomplished athlete, Olympic coach, and mentor who believed deeply in developing both exceptional skiers and exceptional people. Despite earning a spot on the U.S. Freestyle Ski Team at just 17 years old, Diana often faced financial barriers that limited her ability to compete internationally. Following her passing in 2020, the fund was established to ensure young athletes have access to opportunities regardless of financial circumstances. The scholarship supports athletes who demonstrate passion, dedication, character, and a commitment to excellence both on and off the hill.

EZ Competitive Program Scholarship
SSWSC is now offering a NEW scholarship opportunity for Routt/Moffat County resident families with athletes in high school-age, year-round competitive programs. The EZ Competitive Program Scholarship is a two-step scholarship fee program for athletes in year-round programs; it requires submitting a current 1040 or 1040EZ tax return. The EZ Competitive Scholarship is applied directly to program fees based on the family’s adjusted gross income after tax return verification.
THIS APPLICATION PERIOD IS ONLY INTENDED FOR ATHLETES ENROLLED IN A HIGH SCHOOL YEAR-ROUND/COMPETITIVE PROGRAM- U16 Alpine, U18/20 Alpine, U17/19 Moguls, U16/18/20 Cross Country, U16/U18/U20 Jump and Nordic Combined, Freeskiing Senior Team, Snowboarding Pro-Am Race, Snowboarding Pro-Am Race with SBX Add-On, Snowboarding Boardercross, Snowboarding Boardercross with Pro-Am Race Add-On, Snowboarding Senior Team, and Snowboarding Big Mountain Team.

EZ Winter Program Scholarship
SSWSC offers the EZ Scholarship Program for families with an Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) up to $175,000. The EZ Scholarship is a two-step scholarship fee program for athletes in summer and winter programs; it requires submitting a current 1040 or 1040EZ tax return. EZ Scholarship is applied directly to program fees based on the family’s adjusted gross income before payment.
The application will open on August 5 with Winter Registration. Applications will be reviewed and scholarships will be added directly to program fees. In order for the scholarship to be applied before program fees are billed on the 15th of the month, applications must be submitted by the 5th of that month Round 1: Open August 5 / Applications Due September 5 / Scholarships added to account before September 15 Round 2: Applications Due October 5/ Scholarships added to account before October 15 No additional EZ Fee Scholarships will be awarded after the October deadline.

Financial need and ongoing family involvement with the SSWSC will be considered. This scholarship is available in addition to the EZ scholarship.
Scholarship will be awarded by the end May. Your SSWSC account must be in good standing for your application to be considered.
